Working with Mortensen Canada on the construction of the Quality Wind project, we had to overcome a few challenges:
- A high-altitude mountaintop location
- Changing weather conditions
- Tight timelines
The variable weather and the location of the job site not only added a challenge to the setup of our portable plant, it made it more difficult to get the cement, aggregate, fuel, water, and other necessary materials to the production site on time. Despite these conditions, we were able to meet the tight timelines for delivery, completing our work on the 79 wind turbines and sub-station in the Fall. The full project was completed and went into production in 2012.
